After announcing earlier this year the One Broker Group’s support of Blood Bikes as it’s Charity of the Year, the charitable organisation has gone onwards and upwards in it’s efforts to provide an outstanding voluntary courier service to local hospitals.
Both SERV Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and SERV Norfolk, the two organisations that cover East Anglia, have welcomed a bountiful year. SERV Suffolk and Cambridgeshire have continued its impressive influx of volunteers keen to donate time to the organisation and purchased a new bike, ready to carry life-saving blood products for those in desperate need. SERV Norfolk has also added to its fleet of vehicles thanks to the £34,500 raised at this year’s Run Norwich.
Staff at the One Broker Group have enjoyed contributing to this success with various events and donation drives taking place, including fundraising for Run Norwich, holding a raffle at a Client Golf event and collecting over £300 from regular contributions to an office tuck shop. Tombola prizes have also been donated to SERV Suffolk and Cambridgeshire to support their fundraising events, while SERV Norfolk’s promotional leaflet has been redesigned using One Broker resources.
Kerry Patterson, Associate Director at KTIB, the One Broker Group’s Norwich office, said "It’s fantastic to hear the success enjoyed by SERV Norfolk and SERV Suffolk and Cambridgeshire this year. We’re really proud to have in some small way contributed to the brilliant work the Blood Bikes carry out and look forward to continuing this into 2018".
